Dominic’s career started with a passion for technology creating his own IT consultancy business in 1999, which he ran for 8 years, working for Sun Life of Canada, Lloyds of London, IBM Consulting Services, T-Mobile, Fiat, DEC, and became an experienced multi OS systems architect & technical project manager.His deep understanding of tech and project delivery and passion for people led him into Service Delivery & Programme Management roles at some of the world’s leading investment banks, where he successfully managed the delivery of technology services and IT transition projects as well as becoming well versed in the art of people & stakeholder management. He progressed quickly into working on the most complex and challenging projects bank-wide in roles with regional and global accountability.In 2010, he moved to Asia for a change in career dynamic, shifting to the vendor side and working for a big data & technology provider, enhancing his previous tech and people skills with key account management, business development and direct selling techniques & acumen. Since then he has held regional director level roles in APAC and has managed teams and functions aligned to revenue generation within results-driven and pressured environments.Over the past years, he has kept a keen eye on regulation and is well versed with regtech and subsequent challenges with adherence to MiFid II, FATCA and CRS. Keeping a pulse on the future growth of technology is more than just a hobby; he has a strong interest in AI, Big Data and Blockchain and the expansion of Crypto assets including its effects on the public domain over the coming years.
